Groundhog Day

Is it me or does life seem to resemble the movie Groundhog Day the older we get? I mean seriously, day in day out its basically the same. Oh of course we all have our "distractions", i.e. drugs, alcohol, sex, gambling, movies, sporting events...etc. But that's all it really is...a distraction from the realization that we're all just passing through this existence called life trying to find some meaning or purpose for the whole circus. Some people believe that to pro-exist is the reasoning or purpose...so they get married have children and there children have children and so on and so no...and just the existence of the human race gives meaning. On they other hand, some people believe that their time here is just a dress rehearsal and if they pay there bills and not drink too much there is an eternity in paradise awaiting them... I wish I had my 72 virgins now, lol...is it 72 anyway? And yet there are those who simply don't believe anything, and when your time is up you simply cease to exist...no eternity in paradise and you're forever gone. And still yet, there are those who never even consider or ponder any of this. So, those are just a few of my thoughts today as I am going through my daily, weekly, monthly, yearly routine called life. And tomorrow will probably be a lot like today for most of us... go to work, go to school, take care of the children, hangout with friends, entertain ourselves...distract ourselves...unless of course we don't wake up........
